Follow-up Comment #2, bug #9946 (project wesnoth):

This is probably a problem with rehydration at the end of the scenario. Since
this is being reworked at the moment, it will probably get fixed at the same
time. Meaning that now that I am warned against this, I'll test that the
rehydration code will do the right thing and replace the units. Thanks!
