Follow-up Comment #1, bug #6553 (project wesnoth):
A workaround is to replay the game and save it at the turn you want and then
load the resulting save.
One way to make this easier would be to have a "continue playing" button or
the like when replaying. Another would be to have a checkbox in the load
dialog which when checked would ask for the turn number.
