Follow-up Comment #2, bug #10103 (project wesnoth):
As per version 1.3.8 of Wesnoth, and using the svn version of the campaign, I
am not having the duplicate units problem in Stolen Gold and Eastern Flank. I
have not tried it on the latest SVN version though.
About the gold though, I am not sure if you have read the story or not, but
you are not supposed to keep it. If you play the campaign right, you will get
it back for the final battle when you need it the most.
