The Command key has been used up to BfW 1.3.11.
Well, I remember when someone "translated" Command-P ("Print") as Command-S
(the italian word for "print" starts with an S); it was in Aldus PageMaker
back in the eighties; the result was that in the italian version the keyboard
shortcuts were different from each other localized version of the program; the
italian users grew accustomed to this and were shocked when Aldus reverted
back to standard shortcuts.
Yes, I've worked for some years in software localization.
Apple has clear (and famous, as it's been a first in the industry) guidelines
on user interface. Read that.
Ok, take 100 Mac games and count how many use Command and how many use
Control for standard commands (save, open, print...); you'll see that ctrl is
completely nonstandard on a Mac, believe me.
If you don't, be sure that you'll get many complaints and someday someone
will have to do that. Thank you for your attention.
