Looking at the crash dump confirms my guess that this is an upstream problem
with the SDL layer, You should report it as such to the SDL project at
<http://www.libsdl.org>, giving them the crash dump to look at.
When you do so, be sure to emphasize that we are not seeing the same sort of
problem on the Unix and Windows ports -- it is Mac-specific.
