Follow-up Comment #1:

need to call update animation time in start_animation before starting the
animation themselves because of long delays between redraws du to the
message

might cause side effects => 1.5 and if it doesn't have side effect 1.4.1


a possible workaround is to call [redraw] just befor the [kill]

I would be interested on feedback on that workaround
