- I didn't tested your patch yet but after a quick look I don't understand
how it can work. Do you only redo the exact same test 5 times ? I mean, if
nothing changes between searches, you will always have the same result the 5
times.
- and you probably must break the 5 test loop when a solution is found.
As suggested by ilor, with this kind of approach you must probably
regenerate the whole map between each try.
