Follow-up Comment #3, bug #11395 (project wesnoth):
Thanks for the --config=force suggestion. I have now added that to might
rebuild script. That may have been causing some of my confusion with
CheckOgg. (It might have been fixed for a long time before scons finally
rechecked it.)
I tried out the new Fribidi check and I have a complaint about the way it
works. Instead of just failing (it correctly detects that I don't have the
supported version (1) of Fribidi) that it do the build without Fribidi since
it is an optional package. This seems more builder friendly than forcing me
to set a flag manually to tell the build script what it already knows. The
flag setting should only be to force it off when ut could be used.
And while we are talking scons stuff, I noticed that once you set a flag on
the scons command line it seems to remember it permanently. This is
convenient for some things, but for build testing I want to clear them.
Currently I remove .scons-option-cache, but I was wondering if there is a
command line option to do the same thing. I looked through the man page and
didn't notice anything that seemed to do it.
