Follow-up Comment #1:

It is your client only that think connection was timed out and you need
disable timeout checks to load huge files. But it is not good idea to do in
MP server as your game will make it very laggy because of huge scenario size
creating huge traffics. So the best idea to reload Bob's games are to start
your own MP server and play there the remaining turns.

Another improvement would be if Bob would optimize his code a lot. His WML is
just too heavy for wesnoth to handle.
