Details:

Here's my suggestion for sanitizing [endlevel]:

Firstly, only victory and defeat need to be valid as results. This means that
result=continue and result=continue_no_save would be deprecated (but should
probably continue functioning as they have for now, for backwards
compatibility - a wmllint conversion would probably be easy to do though).

To replace them, we'd need three new keys:


[endlevel]
    carryover_report=yes|no (whether to show the gold calculations dialog,
default yes)
    save=yes|no (whether to create the beginning-of-scenario save for the
next scenario, default yes)
    linger_mode=yes|no (whether to remain in linger mode or to skip directly
to the next scenario, default yes)
[/endlevel]


One could then use any combination of these in conjunction with
result=victory in order to do what result=continue and
result=continue_no_save were used for, and more. For example to skip the gold
report and linger mode after a story-only scenario but still save the game.
