Details:
Krash, if alive in Stolen Gold, can develop veteran Drakes in Stolen Gold.
However, his recall list from Stolen Gold is not available in the next
scenario, Eastern Flank. Oddly, attempting recall does <em>not</em> give the
usual popup saying you must have survivors from the previous scenario.
This has something to do with the strange way Krash is initialized in Eastern
Flank, I suspect, but my grasp of WML arcana is not strong enough to fix the
problem -- and I've spent most of today trying two different approaches.
To reproduce, load the attached problem-save. Do :debug and :n, skip
Tallin's turn, and try to pop up Krash's recall list.
