Details:
This patch solves many issues with class version_info left since its
introduction to trunk. Namely things like false positives in add-on version
comparisons for the "Update Add-ons" dialog should be gone.
I'm responsible for the original code, but I cannot use my developer access
to the repository for fixing it right now or later, for a few weeks or
months.
I do not have means of running Subversion clients for creating a readonly
checkout of latest trunk either, thus this patch is based on a very old
revision of the files that I had lying around. The patch is strongly
encouraged unless the relevant issues have been fixed already; they were not,
one week ago.
