Details:

Attempt to load certain savegames will lead to unexpected game termination.

To reproduce:
 Try to load attached savegame file in Wesnoth 1.5.6
 This is a 1st savegame of 10_Like a drop of dew.cfg scenario of
"Of_Memories_Past" campaign taken from 1.5.6 server.

Result:
 As for me, it looks like game attempts to complain about corrupted savegame
with warning but looks like attempt to show   warning fails and game
completely aborted due to bad UTF-8 text in warning.

The following lines are appear in console:

Expected result:
 Game displays warning about savegame and loads it anyway, as it was
intended. Aborting on attempt to show warning without any messages in UI is a
really bad idea. This could cause user's frustration.
