Details:
Currently, every side in the scenario is displayed to the player when they go
to "Status Table" - including sides that don't actually exist, dummy sides,
etc. It'd be nice if you could specify in a [side] definition for that side
to be "hidden" - the units are still there, but its entry in the status table
is gone. This would be used for:
* Statues, e.g. those in the Caves of the Basilisk. They currently show up in
the Status Table as a third side with no leader, no gold, etc... wouldn't it
be better for them to just not appear there at all?
* 'Surprise' enemies in campaigns - it seems to me it would be better if, in
a scenario in which the enemy is not immediately known, or in which there's
one enemy at the beginning and halfway through defeating them another comes
in, it would not show you how many sides there were. It somewhat ruins the
surprise of a second enemy leader coming in halfway through if they could
just look at the status table and see that there's three sides in the
scenario, not two. (You would then do a [modify_side] to make the new enemy
visible in the scenario after you know of their entry).
* Scenarios where there is in practice only one enemy side, but for whatever
reason the scenario designer has to have two sides that look like the same
side due to colour= but actually have different side numbers. I've done this
several times in order to have multiple [leader_goal]s, different groups of
enemy units doing different things, etc... it would be better if it only
showed up in the status table as only one side, though.
