Details:
I tried to compile wesnoth-1.6a and ./configure requested SDL >= 1.2.7 . So I
looked into Yast and I saw that SDL 1.2.13 is installed (the devel packages
too).
Trying to use scons I saw that it also failed, but requesting SDL_ttf
libaries >= 2.0.8. So I installed the devel-packages of SDL_ttf and
./configure works.
It seems to be an error in the configure-script, requesting for the
SDL-libraries altough the SDL_ttf-libraries are missing.
