Follow-up Comment #2, bug #13252 (project wesnoth):
Cat's deposition:
1. Since I somewhat witnessed the bug in it's first occurrence, I attached a
replay "4p_-_Isar's_Blasphemy_(Survi..._Turn_33.gz" where you can see around
turn 18 that Paris droid his side, leave the game then observes Pagan_'s game
(World conquest, first zombie in lobby).
The side hasn't been properly droided, still giving controls to Paris, who
was shown as an observer in our game. Paris was in fact observing Pagan_'s
game. Being host, I took back control then droided it again. All (seems) to
went fine.
2. Later on, I observed an other "World Conquest" played by jb and
Wintermute. Weird enough, you can see some of the chat bribes in the chat log
of Pagan_'s game zombie.
3. I left that game, then joined Ramsus's game as player 4. On first turn, I
got some bribe of jb and Wintermute's game in game. Seeing them as their
respective color in their other game, answering they heard me, as if I was
controlling a side in their game. Got an OOS, then the game expelled me out
to lobby.
Finally, back to lobby, I saw double chat lines. Logging out and back in
(with same account) did'nt resolved the problem. I had to restart the client
to resolve the problem. Still, if I observe the Ramsus's game zombie with my
current account, I'm put back as player 4, on turn 1, can recruit, and end
turn. Exiting to lobby, I and others can see myself as still in Ramsus's game
but able to chat in lobby.
Symptoms showed up again some time later, playing a clash where I could see
observer's chat.
I'm running daily updated svn and wesnoth has been rock solid for years.
