Follow-up Comment #1:
This is possibly caused by the preprocessor going several times over the
strings, updating their textdomain each time. I will look for a fix, but it
may be too intrusive to be 1.6 material.
A simpler fix for 1.6 would be to get rid of the AI_LOCATION indirection and
directly use SET_LABEL instead.
