Follow-up Comment #1, bug #13526 (project wesnoth):
SDL_net, the library we rely on for network and such, has no support for
IPv6. So to support IPv6 in wesnoth, we'd either need to drop SDL_net, or
wait for its maintainer to provide IPv6 support.
Unfortunately, it seems the former is more likely to happen anytime soon.
