Follow-up Comment #2, patch #1179 (project wesnoth):
This new patch hopefully addresses all of your comments. The way I did the
configure thing you have notifications enabled by default, gtkmm enabled by
default, but you can disable either and it won't matter if you don't have
X11. I hope that's not too complex.
