Either you're trying to play in Arabic or Hebrew (which unfortunately don't
work right now), or you don't have Arial Unicode MS installed (or enabled).
I'm fairly certain it comes with the OS.
The situation with Pango fonts (which the "pop-ups" use) on Mac OS is not
very good right now... But it should work if you have Arial Unicode MS. 1.6.4
is actually more broken, and will fall back to just Arial (which doesn't
support as many languages - but should still work fine for English at least).
