Follow-up Comment #1:
the way sighted events (and moveto events in certain situations) work now is
inherently buggy, especially with delay_shroud_updates on (for example, the
event flow can violate causality, leading to weirdness and/or segfaults, see
bug #13256). There's some hope that they'll be someday fixed. Until then,
it's best to avoid using 'sighted' events, and use the 'move_to along with
filter_vision' solution.
