Follow-up Comment #1, bug #15226 (project wesnoth):
I've experienced similar behavior since 1.7.2, in every BfW version I had.
The crash happens only for some scenarios, when pressing ok after entering
the name. It seems to have to do with the length of the scenario name. (For
shorter names it is less likely to happen...)

In case you don't know, the automatically saved start-of-scenario saves also
don't contain the scenario's wml.
