Details:
My build of Wesnoth segfaults at the beginning of the scenario "A Haunting in
Winter" in the "Descent into Darkness" campaign. I have been able to
reproduce this behaviour by loading the scenario from a save file (attached),
by playing through the previous scenario "Peaceful Valley" (save file also
attached), and by playing through the campaign from the beginning. I also
attach a backtrace.
I built Wesnoth from the v1.6.5 source tarball using the scons method. My
system is based on Linux From Scratch v6.3, with additional packages
installed per the instructions in the Beyond Linux From Scratch book v6.2.0,
including GCC v4.0.3, which I used to compile Wesnoth.
I use SDL v1.2.11, with SDL_image v1.2.7, SDL_net v1.2.7, SDL_mixer v1.2.8
and SDL_ttf v2.0.9.
Possibly also relevant: this isn't my first version of Wesnoth. I recently
upgraded from v1.4.7 by running 'make uninstall' before building v1.6.5
