If you have to reboot the system, it's not a bug in Wesnoth but in your
operating system. Since you are using Ubuntu 9.10, I suggest searching about
pulseaudio, it may help. (In particular, try installing the
libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio package if you haven't already done so.)
