Follow-up Comment #2, bug #16722 (project wesnoth):
Apologies fr not seeing the previous post. It takes 3-5 seconds, depending,
and I'm fairly certain it's not my system lacking power / memory, and by
"bogs down" I mean that the mouse skips literal inches while moving it as the
logo is loading, and you can't click an option or anything 'til it's had its
way.
