Follow-up Comment #2, bug #17397 (project wesnoth):
The limit has never made much sense to me. We could just remove it completely
and just perform an ellipsis for labels that are bigger that some rectangle.
Not sure what could be a good size, perhaps 180x72 pixels at zoom 0.
