A bug/FR was opened (https://gna.org/bugs/?16744) but is invalid.
Clearing the cache wasn't working for a user in Mac OS X. However, this is
because s/he had Wesnoth in windowed mode and not fullscreen, and wasn't
holding down control key which is the function key override for applications.
The consensus was to change the hotkey to control+F5. Again, as it turns out,
the override is to press control with F5 anyway in order to make F5 work while
in windowed mode.
Thus, returning the hotkey to F5 will once again let users press F5 when
fullscreen, maintaining consistency with 1.6 and 1.8, and when windowed,
control+F5, which *is* the proper workaround for any OS X application, will
still work (and note that it will be necessary).
