Details:

The AI (computer player) seems to know your position despite invisibility.

(cf. the save-game attached)
My situation: 
  0) I have an invisibile unit (Nightgaunt) placed in the 23,5 village, the
enemy leader is nearby (at his castle at 23,3)
  1a) I leave the Nightgaunt in the village => enemy leader stays in his
position
  1b) I move the Nightgaunt elsewhere (he remains invisible) => the enemy
takes the 23,5 village immediately 
My conclusion:
  the enemy (actually the AI) know when I move and leave the village
unprotected
