Follow-up Comment #4:
The problem was that there was a chain of implicit casts that allowed the
compiler to take a tstring reference to a temporary object. The implicit
casts have been removed. This problem was fixed. A similar problem could
only re-occur if a programmer explicitly cast a reference from a temporary
object.
