Follow-up Comment #1, bug #18766 (project wesnoth):

Note that the wml is preprocessed only on the host and gets sent to the other
clients then, this means that #ifver at preprocessing time will never work for
the non-host clients. That is, the other clients get the #ifver result of the
host, ignoring the wesnoth versions which they actually have.
wesnoth.compare_versions which runs at runtime from an event does probably
not suffer from this since the events are executed in parallel on the clients.
