Details:
I noticed it first in the MSVC debugger, where it lasts now even painfully
longer than it already did.
Made some comparison tests with my release MinGW (~same as win release)
binaries, one on the state of 1.9.9.
always the same command: wesnoth -d -t, and clearing the cache each time
before.
With 1.9.9 this seems to last ~15 secs for me, with trunk ~25 secs. Note that
I made these tests directly after each other with a stopwatch, alternating
between the two setups, changing nothing except for the binary/the source code
version used. Wml loaded, system resources used otherwise etc should
everything be the same.
Even with a graceful error tolerance there is definitely a slowdown.
I also notice it during other "loading setups" (but only subjectively, which
is why I made some tests now).
