Details:

-Have standing animations disabled in preferences.
-Have "increase speed" setting not set too high (it looks funny with a high
setting, though ;)).
-Debug-create a unit  with a suitable standing animation (Dwarvish Guardsman
is an excellent choice).
-Attempt to move the guard. Before the movement animation starts, the
standing animation plays, and afterwards as well. (Pretty annoying to wait
each time...)
