This one does not look like a Wesnoth bug but more like a bug somewhere in
how your system interacts with libsdl (especially considering that you are the
only user seeing this problem). Yes, it looks really strange. Have you tried
the more recent versions as well as updates to your graphics driver?
I will reduce the severity of this report from blocker to normal since you
seem to be the only one experiencing it so it might "just" be some strange
corner case...
