Note that the situation is different in each combination of OS/keymap.
Changing stuff in the hotkeys area is thus poking into a beehive since you
will never get to consider all possible effects. + doesn't require shift for
me for instance (windows/German). If any, then the MacOs user group is
certainly not the largest one.
You seem to be hoping that someone quickly applies your patch so I'm making
this unlikely with this comment, but I don't want to be able to be blamed so I
don't change anything with the status of this FR. :)
