Follow-up Comment #1:
The build settings changes drop support for various versions of OS X that are
supported by Xcode 3. As the current package manager is not using Xcode 4 and
does not expect to do so soon, changing the build settings will occur when
either the current package manager changes versions of Xcode or there is a new
package manager (volunteers accepted).
