Details:
When invoking certain features through the default keyboard shortcut, an
invisible character is inserted into the text field. This affects chat to all
(option-M) and labels (option-L) and probably any features which bring up a
text box that are invoked by a shortcut which can produce a character.
The character becomes visible as soon as you type another character, unless
you press backspace first. It also seems that it only occurs when the key
combination is a dead key in the current keyboard layout. For example, if I
change from US extended where option-L is a horizontal line to overlay on
various letters such as ł, to plain US where option-L represents the ¬
character, the issue no longer occurs. (It also never occurs when invoking it
via the context menu.)
