Follow-up Comment #1:
There is nothing wrong with subtraction; (5-5.5)+0.5 yields 0.000 and
2*(5-5.5) yields -1.000.
The problem with displaying some numbers (which does not require subtraction;
just try evaluating -0.5) is fixed in 26a2307298
