It's possible also that there will be more errors later on...
I searched for boost-1.56, it seems that it is not currently available in the
linux mint or ubuntu repositories... If it was I would fix this.
If the original poster could try gfgtdf's suggested change (add a * for
dereference) and let us know if that allows to compile, that would be good.
Otherwise I think we should just wait until there is a dev with boost-1.56. (I
somewhat doubt that mattsc will have an easy time to arrange that on a mac.)
