Follow-up Comment #1:
If I understand you correctly, it is as you say in your last sentence:
"or it was first added to my previous money bank, and then 40% from it was
taken"
That is what is happening, the bonus is first added to the remaining gold and
then the 40% is applied to the sum of the two. That is the intended behavior.
I just tested it and it works that way for me. I'm a little confused though
as the numbers you give don't quite work out that way: (120 + 102) * 0.4 = 89,
so that's what you should have gotten.
You can see all the numbers at the end in the carryover dialog, the last line
should tell you exactly what to expect for the next scenario.
I'll mark this as "works for me" and will close it in a couple days, unless
you still find a problem. In that case, please attach a save of your last
turn so that we can try to reproduce the problem.
