Follow-up Comment #4, bug #23686 (project wesnoth):
There are no error messages for anything with --log-debug=all. Maybe I am
looking for the wrong thing, but the word "error" only showed up a couple
times regarding "wml_error.cfg" and then a bunch of times with "The config
object has no child named >>error<<".
