Follow-up Comment #1, bug #21926 (project wesnoth):
Not sure what has changed, but testing this in 1.13.1+dev seems to show it's
no longer a problem. There is a message in the stderr where filesystem
complains: Could not open 'spaced_file_name.gz' for reading (where spaces are
used in the actual file name, not underscores), but otherwise the system seems
to work fine. This includes having the map and leader preview in the load
screen as well as loading the file itself.
I tested in both Windows and Linux.
