Details:
In GUI2, labels cannot be set to any value longer than the value that was set
in preshow, or else it gets cut off. The solution to this is scroll labels,
but their scrollbar grids invalidate window layout and cause dialogs to
resize. This also affects "fullscreen" dialogs, where other columns'
dimensions to update to make room for the widgets.
The resizing is also part of a bigger issue: there's no way to specify
relative widget or row/column dimensions that are kept on updating canvas
size. Optimally, a solution to this bug would allow this and also give
widgets, most especially labels, the ability to set a new value and lay it out
within the areas provided by the set relative dimensions.
This has been around for years, so it's not a new bug. I'm currently assigning
it to gfgtdf since he has the most experience with GUI2 internals.
