True. As you mentioned, this issue was pointed out seven years ago, and things
have changed since then. The two units were redesigned, and the Nightgaunt had
all its animation removed. Now it functions better as a game unit (though I
expect it will get the same animation back eventually and go mostly-invisible
again). So, the title of this bug report is no longer 100% accurate, but the
problem still exists.
Couldn't we just add a condition to the dimming code used for hidden units
causing the code to ignore Shadows and Nightgaunts?
