Vision through tunnels (as well as moving through allied units on the exit
hex) is enabled as of 1.13.6 and can be turned on and off with flags to the
[tunnel] tag. Check out the wiki entry for the tunnel tag
<https://wiki.wesnoth.org/DirectActionsWML#.5Btunnel.5D> for details.
There are currently no plans to add other functionality to tunnels, although
it is not impossible that some of that might be done in the future.
