Follow-up Comment #4, bug #24984 (project wesnoth):
Tested it again with current master and gnome 3.22.1 / kde 5.8.3
- gnome starts fine now with DRI 3. Maybe not totally fancy (for a moment it
looks like in the attachement), but no problems
- kde startup remains the same
