Follow-up Comment #7:
I implemented wesnoth.get_side_variable(side_num, variable_name) and
wesnoth.set_side_variable(side_num, variable_name, value) some time ago. Note
that:
1) It has no wml interface yet.
2) We could implement a side[side_num].variables[variable_name] syntax just
liek for units.
I persoannly think the currenty syntax is sufficient, but i'm not opposed to
someone implemting (1) or (2).
