Follow-up Comment #4, bug #25409 (project wesnoth):

If it isn't obvious to us what is the expected behaviour in that particular
case, perhaps scenario developers should be given a more explicit way to do as
you're describing? 'controller=dummy' perhaps?

As a temporary measure/bad hack, you can get around this issue by adding this
code to your scenario:


[event]
        name=prestart
        [kill]
                [filter_side]
                        controller="null"
                [/filter_side]
                animate=no
        [/kill]
[/event]


However, it may have other undesirable effects. So I hope this issue can be
fixed properly in the game engine.
