Follow-up Comment #4, bug #25584 (project wesnoth):
Ok, after more investigation, it seems the problem has to do with the fact
that when window.close() is called in the resize callback, the titlescreen
doesn't actually close until all child windows close. Because of that, when a
resize happens, the titlescreen hasn't actually been closed yet, and when the
relevant child dialog is dismissed to, say, load a campaign, then the
titlescreen loop kicks in and reshows the titlescreen.
