What kind of bandwidth does this require? What kind of access do other people need to the box? I have a server on a broadband connection. I suspect it would be good enough for the campaign server, I don't know about the MP server. I don't like to give shell access out on the box (I have given any out yet). Power at the location sucks, but since I have a UPS there the box rides out short glitches better than in the past. The 2 day outage last summer after a storm could have happened at any home location. The campaign server updates have been hitting the box kind of hard with the 2 largest campaigns. I will need to rewrite the wml perlmods, as these put the box into swap for for a while because of inefficient memory use. Though I really need to do this in any case. If something bad happens to the box (e.g. the power supply dies), getting things fixed quickly is a pain because I live about 30 miles from where it is. My feeling is that my box isn't going to be a first choice to host either server, but we can make do with it, especially if it is just a couple of months.
