It has been suggested more than once [1][2] to change the order of the top panel items (that is villages, units, gold, upkeep and income - note that turn is not included here).

It makes sense because it has gold on the first place (most important item), then villages and units (which should be together IMHO) and finally upkeep and income (auxiliary items based on the previous ones). However, I can understand some of the reaons to change it. For example, it would probably be a good idea to group all the gold related items. What do you think?
